Boxing in Boots? Gigi Hadid Stars in a New Short Directed by James Franco
You wouldn’t think boxing would be the best way to offer customers a first glimpse at a new boot, but when Gigi Hadid is thrown into the mix, it somehow starts to make sense. Fashion’s It girl and shoe designer Stuart Weitzman recently collaborated on some edgy new footwear called the “Gigi Boot,” a stacked heel combat bootie, and to promote the celeb-designed footwear, they put together a clip featuring the rising supermodel kicking some ass.
The short black-and-white film, directed by James Franco, stars Hadid as a boxer striking some tough poses in the ring. Titled “Do It Right,” the clip teases snippets of Hadid training and sparring in Brooklyn’s famous Gleason’s Gym, effortlessly waylaying the masked competition in her fashion-forward booties.
The Gigi Boot comes in three finishes and ranges in price from $565 to $598. The boot features two-toned laces uniquely designed to wrap the ankle. The collab is also helping a good cause. According to People, some of the boot’s proceeds will go to Pencils of Promise, a charity that helps build schools in impoverished countries.
Should you box while wearing boots? Definitely not. Should you check out the short film? This instant!
