Miranda Kerr’s Home Intruder Charged with Attempted Murder

Anthony Haywood, the Australian man that attacked Miranda Kerr’s security guard at her home on Oct. 14, has been charged with mayhem and attempted murder.

People confirms that Haywood faces one felony count each of attempted willful, deliberate and premeditated murder, aggravated mayhem and assault with a deadly weapon. His arraignment was scheduled on Tuesday (Oct. 25, 2016) at the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Van Nuys, California.

Haywood hopped the fence and broke into Kerr’s property in Malibu on Friday, Oct. 14. When her security guard found him, Haywood slashed the guard’s face with a knife. After the incident, the guard “drew a weapon and fired three to four rounds, hitting the suspect in the face and upper torso area,” according to the report. Haywood’s bail is recommended at over $1 million dollars, and if he’s convicted, he will face a possible maximum sentence of life in state prison.

Kerr’s son that she shares with her ex-husband Orlando Bloom was not home during the time of the incident.
