When it comes to pop culture, we all suffer from selective memory

Just in time for Halloween festivities, Charli XCX hopped on Twitter last night (Oct. 27, 2016) to announce her new single in collaboration with Lil Yachty, “After the Afterparty.” She announced the single after attending the Kiss FM Haunted House party in London.

“AFTER THE AFTERPARTY IS OUT NOW!! PLAY IT AT UR HALLOWEEN PARTY/BIRTHDAY/FUNERAL,” the singer wrote.

The song is a catchy, upbeat and a little silly. It sounds like the song you’d play to re-energize a party that’s beginning to wind down.

Perhaps the release of this single foreshadows an upcoming album announcement? Listen to the track below.

Next, Shakira came back with a new single featuring Maluma. “Chantaje” is the first song to come out of her upcoming 11th studio album. An English version of the song will be released soon, but for now, we can hear the original Spanish version for a preview of what Shakira’s been cooking up for us.

Finally, Alicia Keys released another song from her upcoming sixth studio album, Here, which drops Nov. 4, 2016. This one is called “Holy War.” If you only listen to one of these three songs today, make it this one. We all knew Keys had a beautiful voice, but on this song, it’s backed up by meaningful lyrics and a slow build to a powerful-sounding chorus. Listen below.
