Mariah Carey Spotted at Nobu with Backup Dancer Who Is at the Center of Her Split from James Packer
TMZ caught video of Carey leaving Nobu in Malibu with her team, including Bryan Tanaka, the choreographer who apparently got too close to Carey for Packer’ comfort.
It was originally reported that Packer began exhibiting erratic behavior, so Carey sought comfort in her connection with Tanaka. Packer allegedly confronted Tanaka during one of her Las Vegas shows in June when Tanaka showed up even though he was injured and was not scheduled to dance in the performance. Sources told the tabloid that Packer pulled him into a room backstage, where there was a “ton of yelling,” though it was unclear if there was any physical violence involved.
“James was not in the right mind for months. Mariah was in essence an abandoned woman,” a source told E! News. Sources told TMZ that Packer might have been set off by this lap dance that she gave Tanaka during a show in May, though lap dances are a staple in all of her performances.
