Kim Kardashian Reportedly Cancels Appearance at Gala Honoring Her Late Father
Although Kim Kardashian has slowly been trying to get back to normal after being robbed in Paris, she still isn’t quite up for attending a big splashy gala, even one honoring her late father, Robert Kardashian.
According to Page Six, Kardashian canceled her appearance at the upcoming Angel Ball, a Nov. 21 fund-raising event that her mother, Kris Jenner, and sisters Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian, are also scheduled to attend.
A publicist for the black-tie gala told Page Six, “Kim is not expected to attend at this time.”
Kim is still recovering from being bound, gagged and robbed at gunpoint in Paris earlier this month. The gala, coincidentally, is being co-chaired by Lorraine Schwartz — the jeweler who sold Kanye West the $4.5 million 20-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring the robbers stole along with Kim’s other jewelry.
Kim has recently made an effort to get out of the house — by, for example, grabbing a bite with friends and attending Kanye’s concerts in L.A. – and she might change her mind about attending the gala, as well.
An insider said, “She may show up. We’ll see.”
