Ryan Murphy Reveals that ‘AHS’ Fans Can Expect a Special Crossover Season Soon

Warning! Spoilers ahead!

American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy participated in a panel at Entertainment Weekly’s PopFest on Sunday (Oct. 30, 2016), where he explained what he and his team have planned for upcoming seasons of the hit FX show, including a special crossover revisiting the characters from two past seasons.

During the panel, the moderator asked Murphy about his previous comments involving revisiting the show’s third season, Coven. That’s when the showrunner decided to drop a bomb.

We do know what we’re going to do,” Murphy told the audience. “It’s not going to be next season, but we are going to do a season that’s a crossover between Murder House and Coven together, which is very bizarre.”

Murphy went to explain that, frankly, the reason this special season isn’t going to come next is due to scheduling problems with the two seasons’ casts.

“There will be characters from Murder House and characters from Coven together. I’ve [already] started going to actors from both of the seasons, quietly, saying, ‘I think in this window, if you could fit us in,’” said Murphy. “So yeah, it’s fun. It’s weird.”

The creator didn’t discuss his previous comments about Lady Gaga’s character in the Season 6, where he stated that she is the original Supreme of the third season’s sect of witches, but something tells us she’d likely be returning for the upcoming season.

Still craving more AHS spoilers? Murphy also just revealed via Twitter that Sarah Paulson’s character Lana Winters from the show’s second season, Asylum, will be dropping by Roanoke soon!

So wait, she’ll be playing three characters this season?!

American Horror Story: Roanoke airs on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
