WATCH: Ariana Grande Runs for Her Life in an ‘American Horror Story’-Inspired Haunted House
For Ellen DeGeneres’ annual Halloween episode, she sent Ariana Grande and her longtime producer Andy Lassner to Universal Studios’ American Horror Story Halloween Horror Nights haunted house maze. The results were hilarious.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long, long time,” DeGeneres, who was dressed as Sia, said before showing the clip.
Both Grande, a self-proclaimed lover of all things horror, and Lassner tried to put on a brave face before entering the maze, but it was only a matter of minutes before their brave facade cracked. As American Horror Story: Murder House’s creepy Rubber Man character lunged at the duo, Grande promptly fell to the floor in fear, before being picked up off the ground by Lassner who declared, “We got this!”
At one point, Lassner and Grande were separated, which created a bit of tension between the pals. “I need you to stick with me. You abandoned me and that doesn’t work for me,” Lassner told the singer. “You ran away!” Grande replied.
While Grande told Lassner that she as enjoying herself and knows that everything they’re experiencing is “fake,” she does admit to leaving her heart in the haunted house at the end.
Meanwhile, DeGeneres and her special guest Heidi Klum, who was also dressed as Maddie Ziegler, joined forces to perform their own interpretation of “Chandelier.” Watch it in the video below and watch Grande’s trek through the haunted house in the video at the top of the page.
