Good News: Lindsay Lohan Named Her Accent

Lindsay Lohan is aware that the way her voice sounds lately is different than how it usually sounds.

After a video of Lohan giving an interview in an unidentified accent at the opening of her Greek nightclub surfaced on Tuesday (Nov. 1), Lohan explained to the Daily Mail that her new way of speaking is a “mixture of most of the languages” that she can understand or the ones she’s trying to learn. “I’ve been learning different languages since I was a child,” Lohan told the Daily Mail. “I’m fluent in English and French, can understand Russian and am learning Turkish, Italian and Arabic.”

In true Lohan fashion, she told the publication that she wasn’t surprised when her accent received so much attention. “Nothing really shocks me these days,” she said. “I moved to London four years ago and the taxes seem to be getting higher.”

Lohan did not state a reason why the change happened all of the sudden despite her ability to pinpoint all of her linguistic influences. “Je ne sais pas,” she joked.

In an exchange with the Daily Mail over Twitter, Lohan suggested that her new accent needed a name.

#LILOHAN it is, which is almost as creative as the name of her nightclub. Watch the video of her speaking in her new accent at the top of the page.
