Tim Tebow Really Wants a Family Sooner Than Later, for His Father’s Sake
Tim Tebow has always been open about wanting to find the right woman to marry and wanting to have children, but now that his father is ailing, the baseball player feels an urgency.
Tebow’s father was recently diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. “Baseball takes a lot of time,” he told People, “and it’s not like I don’t have several other full-time jobs. But I’m definitely ready for a relationship and I’m looking forward to it. I can’t wait for that, and I can’t wait to have kids.”
The Mets player said, “I want my kids to know my dad, and to learn the same lessons from him that I did. That would make me happy.”
The almost-30-year-old realizes it requires patience and he is leaning on his faith to help. “I can’t wait, but I think it’s something that I’ll have to trust God for. He’ll bring someone along at the right time. But that doesn’t mean that I don’t want it, though!”
He added, “I think when I find the right woman, I’ll make her the priority. You don’t know where you’ll meet the right person at, so you can’t make it a priority until you find the right woman.”
