WATCH: ‘Homeland’ Season 6 Trailer Shows Carrie Mathison Still at Odds with CIA

Carrie Mathison’s love/hate relationship with the CIA looks to continue in Season 6 of the hit Showtime series Homeland.

The 90-second trailer, released on Friday (Nov. 4, 2016), features the first glimpse of the season. It’s set stateside this time around, in New York, just as a transition of power in the White House begins with a new female president.

We see Claire Danes as Mathison spar with CIA Director Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham), along with reconnecting with her young daughter and tending to her former colleague and occasional lover Quinn (Rupert Friend), who ended Season 5 in a coma. There’s even a brief moment with Otto During (Sebastian Koch), the activist billionaire who proposed marriage to Carrie. Watch above!

The producers of the show have said this season will deal with the domestic fallout from the war on terror sparked by the 9/11 attacks on New York City and the Pentagon, particularly as it has impacted Muslims and Middle Easterners in the U.S.

Homeland Season 6 premieres January 15 on Showtime.
