'A Star Is Born' Remake Starring Lady Gaga Is Happening
Lady Gaga has been confirmed to play the lead.

Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born remake, starring Lady Gaga, finally got a release date.

Warner Bros. announced that the film will hit theaters on September 28, 2018. The Joy actor is set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming film, as well as star opposite the “Perfect Illusion” singer. Emmy-winning actor Ray Liotta is in talks to join the film as well, according to Mashable.

A Star Is Born, which was originally a 1927 film, has already been remade twice before (once with Judy Garland, another time with Barbra Streisand). However, Cooper’s version will reportedly focus on rock stars instead of actors.

Meanwhile, photographer Derek Blasberg captured a shot of Gaga and Katy Perry holding hands and consoling each other after Hillary Clinton’s election loss.

“Took this picture of @katyperry and @ladygaga last night at the Javits Center, where everyone had come to celebrate our first female president,” he wrote on Instagram. “It was taken when Pennsylvania’s ballots were counted, and it felt officially over.”
