Just one day after being nearly inconsolable about the results of the 2016 Presidential election, Miley Cyrus has wiped her tears and is ready to move forward.
On Thursday (Nov. 10), Cyrus took to Instagram to announce she was done crying, instead, the “accepting, hopeful, inspired and smiling” singer has launched a new campaign along with her foundation The Happy Hippy. The new campaign #HopefulHippies hopes to inspire people to take positive actions within their communities.
“I’m asking you to get involved in your own community and make a commitment to the issues you care about, whether it’s donating, volunteering or showing your support!” Cyrus wrote in the caption. “Happy Hippie and myself are putting education for young children at the top of the list of priorities. In honor, of course, Hillary Clinton,” she explained in the accompanying video.
Along with the video, Cyrus launched the campaign on the official Happy Hippy website, where it’s visitors can learn all about how to give back the issues that are most important to them. Using Clinton’s campaign slogan, Cyrus urges her fans to come together, “Now more than ever we need to be #StrongerTogether and commit to creating the America we want.”
