Yoko Ono’s Response to Donald Trump Becoming President Might Just Make Your Day
In the days since Donald Trump won the highest office in the land, people everywhere have expressed just how this political shakeup feels. Moby, Jennifer Lawrence and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin penned powerful letters on how best to move forward. Lady Gaga protested outside Trump Tower. Chelsea Handler broke down in tears while filming her talk show. But you’re going to be hard-pressed to find someone who sums up the way the nation feels better than Yoko Ono. And she doesn’t even use any words.
The performance artist and John Lennon’s widows shared a 19-second audio clip that is comprised of nothing more than Ono’s voice modulating and shrieking in absurdity. It’s pretty funny, but it’s also a wonderfully accurate representation of many Americans’ beleaguered and demoralized frame of minds.

We can only hope that the 83-year-old provocateur continues to comment on the presidency, in her own special way.
