Andy Cohen Shares Juicy Stories About Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Madonna and More in His New Book
Whether it’s on a sound stage or in some dark corner of a New York nightclub, Andy Cohen has a knack for witnessing scandalous behavior from celebs on a regular basis, which has become his bread and butter. Now, the Watch What Happens: Live host has another book, Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries, offering all the most gossipy excerpts from his journals including an encounter with Taylor Swift at the Met Gala, an almost-reunion between some famous former lovers and more…
“Why I felt I needed to get involved I will never know (maybe I was auditioning for her squad?) but I innocently said exactly the wrong thing to her, which was, ‘Your friend Katy is sitting in the corner and there’s plenty of room around her,'” he wrote, via Entertainment Tonight.
Swift’s response? “Katy who?”
The “Out of the Woods” singer apparently went on to clarify that there was nothing friendly about her relationship with the fellow pop star. And although Swift asked him not to mention her comments on his show, she didn’t say anything about including it in a book!
The 48-year-old author also mentioned witnessing Jennifer Aniston and her ex John Mayer nearly having an awkward moment during a Friends reunion. He was having a drink with Mayer when the entire cast, minus Matthew Perry, showed up at the restaurant.
“We realized they had to walk by our table to leave and that would be a ‘moment,'” Cohen explained. Eventually, the TV personality greeted the actors but Mayer didn’t come along. “As much as I would’ve loved to see the ultimate reunion — Aniston and Mayer — we left before they did and went to bed. Separately.”
Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries arrives Nov. 15, 2016.
