Leonardo DiCaprio Is About to Enter Your Life in a Whole New Way

Leonardo DiCaprio is executive producing a documentary miniseries that’s been green-lit by History.

DiCaprio’s eight-hour series, Frontiersmen, will follow the stories of pioneers including Daniel Boone, Lewis and Clark, Tecumseh, Davy Crocket and more as they travel across uncharted territory, spanning the first 75 years of American history, from the post-revolutionary war colonies through the California Gold Rush.

“During these years, America went from the opportunity of land to land of opportunity, and it was a bloody struggle throughout,” said the executive president and head of programming at History in an official statement. “We’ll tell bold stories of these adventurous trailblazers who explored the uncharted wilderness and became the icons we know today.”

DiCaprio will executive produce Frontiersmen with his Appian Way Productions partner Jennifer Davisson along with executive producers for History. No premiere date for the series has been set.
