Kate Upton Is Furious That Fiancé Justin Verlander Didn’t Win the Cy Young Award

Hell hath no fury like a girlfriend scorned.

Kate Upton didn’t hold back when she found out that her fiancé, Justin Verlander, didn’t win American League Cy Young Award. Taking to Twitter, the model lashed out Major League Baseball after two sportswriters — Fred Goodall of The Associated Press and Bill Chastain of MLB.com — left the Detroit Tigers pitcher off their ballots.

First making a joke about Verlander getting fucked over by the snub, Upton then blasted Rick Porcello of the Boston Red Sox, the recipient of this year’s award, for nabbing the top honor despite receiving only eight first place votes from a total of 30 ballots.

Verlander, who lost out to Porcello by only five points, received 14 such votes.

I honestly don’t care,” Porcello later told ESPN of the backlash. “I’ve got a lot of people around me right now that I love very much and are instrumental in my success. And on top of that, we’ve got some really good bottles of wine that need to be drank.”

Ouch.
