Ariel Winter Matching Tattoos with Her Sister Leads Today’s Star Sightings

The family that get inked together, stay together!

Ariel Winter celebrated a milestone with her sister, Shanelle Gray, on Thursday night (Nov. 17, 2016) when she witnessed her sibling get her very first tattoo. According to Winter, her sister got the same design — a date written out in Roman numerals — as the one the Modern Family star has inked on the insider of her forearm.

“When your sister is bomb AF and gets one too,” Winter wrote alongside a Snapchat photo of Gray getting tatted.

The end results were debuted on Gray’s Instagram with the caption, “#1st tattoo matching sister one of the most important people in my life with a matching tattoo of a very special date.”

In 2012, Winter was placed under the temporary custody guardianship of Gray after filing court papers accusing their mother, Chrisoula Workman, of abuse. The actress was officially emancipated in 2015.

“This is October 3rd, 2012, which is the day I moved in with my sister, and it kind of started a new chapter in life for me, so it was really important,” Winter previously told Entertainment Tonight. “My sister’s one of the most amazing people in my life. She’s my best friend. She’s really the most important person to me. She has done so much for me, and has taught me so much.”

On Friday (Nov. 18, 2016), Winter covered her tats in a long sleeve sweater and matching jeans as she ran errands around Los Angeles.
