Kate Gosselin Responds to Child Abuse Claims
Kate Gosselin sat down for a pre-taped interview for this morning’s (Nov. 21, 2016) episode of Good Morning America. In it, she addressed claims of child abuse and talked about the whereabouts of her 12-year-old son, Collin Gosselin.
Earlier this year Kate revealed she’d enrolled Collin in a live-in facility to help him learn “the skills he needs to be the best him he can be,” after struggling with what she described as “special needs.” While she wouldn’t go into specifics about the program or where it is located, she insisted Collin was receiving the best care possible.
Last week, Kate’s ex-husband Jon Gosselin sat down for an interview with Entertainment Tonight and confessed that on top of not having seen Collin for more than a year, he has no idea where his son is and that Kate has refused to divulge any information. “I mean, I ask but she doesn’t tell me,” he said. “She doesn’t answer any of my texts.”
In her interview with GMA, Kate explained that she made the decision to move Collin to a facility on advice from their family doctor and that she could care less what Jon has to say to the press. “We’re both court-ordered not the speak about the care and custody of our children in detail. I have known all along where he is. The world doesn’t know. And, I’ll leave it at that,” she said before adding, “I’m really focused less on what he has to say.”

As for those claims reported by Life & Style that Collin confessed to being abused by his mother to workers at the facility where he is now living? “I’m in the public eye. I have been investigated many times,” she said. “It’s always unfounded, obviously.”
