WATCH: Tom Daley Teaches a Completely Average Person How to Dive Like an Olympian
Who would make a better diving instructor than two-time Olympic medalist Tom Daley?
In a new “Average Andy” segment for Ellen, host Ellen DeGeneres sends her executive producer, Andy Lassner, to learn how to dive like a champion. Of course, having been completely “average” all his life and with no training at all, Lassner isn’t exactly a pro when it comes to the sport of high diving.
“You kinda look like a question mark at the minute actually,” Daley jokes about Lassner’s posture. “Try to be like an exclamation point!”
“My whole life is a question mark,” Lassner retorts.
Lassner’s so-called averageness really becomes apparent when he hits the pool with a shirtless Daley.
“What are you keeping in there?” Lassner asks, after Daley strips down to just his skimpy swimsuit. “Most people don’t look like this ever.”
