At a recent auction, Twilight fans were willing to shell out some major cash for memorabilia from the movies.
Hosted by memorabilia company Prop Store, Twi-hards gathered in L.A. over the weekend for a two-day auction and were able to bid on 900 of the films’ biggest props, including the engagement ring vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) gives to his mortal love, Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart).
According to E! News, the lucky (and rich) super-fan ended up beating a thousand other bidders and ultimately paid a whopping $16,800 for the ring. Other props that sold included Edward’s journal, which went for $7,800 as well as Bella’s meadow costume, which closed at $8,400.
Prop Store COO Brandon Alinger said in a statement, “We’re thrilled with the interest and participation in this exclusive auction event. The films have a global following, which was very evident with the worldwide response from bidders over the weekend. For Twilight fans, this auction offered an amazing opportunity to own a piece of the phenomenon and we were proud to partner with Lionsgate on the project.”
