A ‘Game of Thrones’ Fan Theory About Sansa Stark Gets Shut Down

This Beloved 'Game of Thrones' Character Is Finally Coming Back for Season 7
As the cast of Game of Thrones continues to shoot scenes for the upcoming seventh season of the HBO show, more and more details about what's to come have emerged

As many theories swirl around the Game of Thrones denizens and what will happened to them, one particular theory has been shut down for good: Sansa Stark in not pregnant with Ramsay Bolton’s demon child.

The theory formed towards the end of Season 6, when Sansa (played beautifully by Sophie Turner) first tells Littlefinger that forcing her to marry the sadistic Ramsay had left an indelible mark, not only on her soul but physically as well. “I can still feel it,” she says. “I can still feel what he did, in my body, standing here, right now.” Then there’s the moment later, when a defeated Ramsay, tied to a chair, sneers at Sansa, “You can’t kill me. I’m part of you now,” before she feeds him to his hungry hounds.

While the pregnancy theory isn’t completely out of left field, actor Liam Cunningham, who plays the stalwart Ser Davos, put it into perspective. “Unless [Ramsay’s] got one of those Game of Thrones pregnancy sticks, he’s not gonna know,” he told TV Guide. “I would imagine it’s open to whatever you want it to be, but I think he’s saying he’s put himself into her head. That’s what I took from it. She’s never gonna get rid of him because of what he’s done to her. He knows what he’s done to her… I think he’s placed himself in her soul for all the wrong reasons.”

The GoT fan site, Watchers on the Wall, confirmed it. “Last of all, I am enormously happy to report that Watchers on the Wall can put a certain ‘theory’ to bed. If any in our readership believed a certain insistent rumor, the following may be a relief to hear: Sansa will NOT be (or get) pregnant in season seven.”

So there you go. Now, will Sansa become a villain and turn on her brother/cousin, Jon Snow? That indeed could happen.

Game of Thrones Season 7 is expected to premiere on HBO next summer.
