Ricky Martin Buys $13.5 Million Mansion, Selling Own Condo for $8.4 Million
Out with the old and in with the new!
Ricky Martin is seemingly making a cross country move. Hot on the heels of news that the singer is engaged to longtime beau Jwan Yosef, the 44-year-old has picked up a new mansion on the west coast as he puts his New York City apartment up for sale.
Perhaps needing more space now that his family is getting a little bigger, Martin his listed his four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom condo in Manhattan for a whopping $8.4 million, Variety reports. Sitting at 3,147 square feet, the swanky pad features floor-to-ceiling windows, an eat-in kitchen with marble flooring, and two spacious master suites each outfitted with its own bathroom and walk-in closet. Other notable amenities include access to a screening room, a billiards room, a library, a landscaped courtyard, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility complete with a Pilates and yoga studio, a squash court, and a golf simulator.
However, as much as Martin’s Big Apple home sounds nice, it’s nothing compared to the $13.5 million mansion he just purchased in Los Angeles. Located in the ritzy neighborhood of Beverly Hills, the stunning spread boasts 11,300 square feet of living space — that’s more than three times the size of his east coast digs — and houses seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
Surrounded by mature trees, Martin’s new estate is decked out with its chef’s kitchen with butler’s pantry, a tiered movie theater with an adjacent bar, an 800-bottle temperature controlled wine cellar, a staff quarters with its own private entry, and a master suite the listing calls a “home of its own” with its own large three-sided fireplace, executive kitchen, and dual bathrooms. (Yes, there’s an actual kitchen inside the bedroom!)
Outside, there sits a 30-feet infinity edge swimming pool with an adjoining spa, a barbecue and kitchen area, a tranquil courtyard, and an al fresco dining terrace perfect for entertaining. After all, as Trulia notes, Sandra Bullock lives just down the street.
