Kanye West Has Been Released from the Hospital
The “Famous” rapper was released from the UCLA Medical Center under the care of his wife, Kim Kardashian, according to TMZ. West’s personal doctor Dr. Michael Farzam, who called the police on Nov. 21 after the 39-year-old allegedly attempted to assault a staff member, was also assigned to be his primary caregiver.
According to sister-in-law Kendall Jenner, the entire Kardashian family decided to skip the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show to be with West during his release.
“Yeah, no one is coming out but they’re all — I’ve literally been texting with all of them, like, the past couple days,” she told Entertainment Tonight the same day news was West’s release surfaced.
“Everyone’s OK,” she added. “Everyone is doing OK, just praying.”
As previously reported, West suffered a nervous breakdown that was possibly triggered by the anniversary of his mother’s funeral combined with the aftermath of his wife’s robbery. Days before being admitted into a facility for treatment, West was said to be showing signs of “severe paranoia” and “hallucinations.”
Close friend John Legend expressed his worries last week, telling CBS Morning, “I was concerned by what I saw, so hopefully he’s getting some rest and some time to figure things out.”
Kardashian, who recently canceled what was to be her first public appearance since being robbed at gunpoint, has been staying by her husband’s bedside.
