Rihanna’s Fenty Puma Creeper Wins Shoe of the Year
Last night (Nov. 29, 2016), Rihanna attended Footwear News’ 30th FN Achievement Awards where she took home the night’s top honor, Shoe of the Year, on behalf of her crossover creation, the Fenty Puma Creeper.
For months, the “Work” songstress created demand for the goth-inspired shoe simply by wearing it everywhere. And her whole-hearted embrace of the hybrid kicks has paid off; the shoe became a coveted item among tastemakers and sneakers lovers everywhere.
Other winners at last night’s ceremony in New York included Zendaya for Launch of the Year, Paul Andrew for Designer of the Year and Mark King from Adidas for Person of the Year.
For the event, the singer chose an all-black ensemble complete with arm-length gloves, a black cap and some black Creepers, which she complemented with loads of dazzling jewelry.
