Hilary Duff Feels Like She Was Judged for Having a Baby ‘Too Soon’

Hilary Duff has been in the spotlight since she was a child, and while Hollywood and most of America watched Duff grow up, she says she was never judged for anything as badly as she was judged for becoming a young mom.

“I feel like I was judged for having a baby too soon and getting married too soon,” Duff told the co-hosts of The Talk. “And now I’m pigeonholed for being like, ‘a mom.'” Conversely, Duff recognizes the criticism she faced for having a child “too soon” is also leveled at many other women in Hollywood who are judged for not having children.

“It’s crazy that women, we’re the most in demand, the most desirable, but the most judged and the hardest on one another,” she continued before adding, “Nobody cares about men’s personal lives as much as women.”

Duff was 24 when she gave birth to her now 4-year-old son, Luca, with then husband, NHL star Mike Comrie.
