Mariah Carey’s New Man, Bryan Tanaka, Breaks His Silence on Their Romance

Now that Mariah Carey and her new beau Bryan Tanaka have made their romance public, by recently frolicking and kissing on the beach, Tanaka is opening up about his lady love.

E! News spoke with the backup dancer at the official Mariah’s World premiere party Sunday (Dec. 4, 2016), and he just gushed, “I’ve always had a thing for Mariah. I love her so much. Just make sure you tune into the show and you’ll see kind of how everything happens.

He added, “I do a little dance move here and there and we have a good time. It will be fun.”

Tanaka said their friendship helped spark the passion. “We’ve been friends for a long time. Something connected with us back in the day and there was just a mutual admiration. She saw something in me that I actually didn’t recognize at first, from that it was over. It was set in history that we were gonna be connected some way, some how.”

Carey concurred, “It’s really nice, especially when you’ve worked with somebody in the past and then you get to work with them again and just see how everybody’s grown creatively and all that.”

As for her thoughts on the budding relationship and whether Tanaka did make moves on her during the show, the singer just smiled, “I don’t know. We’ll have to wait and see.”

Carey and Tanaka first sparked romance rumors when they were spotted out partying together in October. At the time, it was rumored that Carey’s split with ex-fiance James Packer had something to do with her close connection to Tanaka.

Carey’s ex-husband, Nick Cannon, also weighed in on the new relationship when he jokingly poked fun at the beach pics by recreating his own.
