Jenna Dewan Tatum Calls Her Sex Life with Channing Tatum ‘Primal’

It’s hard to imagine a world in which Jenna Dewan Tatum isn’t with Channing Tatum. However, as it turns out, the Step Up co-stars almost didn’t get together.

In the January 2017 issue of Cosmopolitan, Jenna reveals that her now-husband didn’t want to date exclusively at the start of their relationship. Calling that awkward period “two nights of being weird” as they tried to remain professional on set, the actress says everything changed when Channing decided to go drinking with his buddies one night.

“We hadn’t even kissed. And then he went out partying with a bunch of dancers. His room was right above mine, and he came down drunk with a sombrero on, banging on my door,” she remembers. “He was like,’I couldn’t stop thinking about you. Let’s do this. I just want to be with you.’ From that point forward, we were together.”

Jenna and Channing wed in 2009 after three years of dating. The couple welcomed a daughter named Everly, 3, in 2013.

According to Jenna, her marriage with the Hail! Caesar actor couldn’t be better. In fact, the two share quite the exciting sex life.

“I’ve always been a very sexual person,” Jenna shares. “We definitely have a very happy and healthy [sex life]. Something about being a dancer connects you to your physical body. It’s primal, earthy, sexual energy by nature. You feel your body in a certain way. Channing is very much the same way. He’s very in tune with that.”
