Judge Finalizes Khloé Kardashian and Lamar Odom’s Divorce
A judge finally signed off on their divorce on Friday (Dec. 9, 2016) and, according to documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, their marriage will be officially terminated on Dec. 17, 2016.
Despite the long timeline, the divorce seems to have been handled fairly amicably. Neither Kardashian nor Odom will receive spousal support and both have waived the right to file for it in the future. The reality TV stars name will be restored to her maiden name Khloé Kardashian from Khloé Kardashian Odom.
The final agreement, which supersedes the prenup they signed when they got married back in 2009, allows both parties to hold on to their own assets and both get a 50 percent interest in their company Khlomar LLC, but once all business is settled, the company will be dissolved.
Both Kardashian and Odom have long moved on from their marriage. Kardashian has been going strong with NBA player Tristan Thompson while Odom has been spotted out and about with several mystery women.
After initially filing for divorce back in 2013, Kardashian called off the divorce after Odom was found unconscious after overdosing on drugs at a brothel in Las Vegas. Kardashian stayed by Odom’s side as he recovered and it was rumored that they would reconcile, but ultimately, the couple decided to proceed with their divorce and go their separate ways.
