Prince Harry Accompanies Meghan Markle to the Airport, Family Shares Cute Photos of Her as a Child

Prince Harry escorted Meghan Markle to London’s Heathrow Airport on Sunday (Dec. 18, 2016) after they spent a week together in the UK.

According to People, Harry was surrounded by a group of officers while Markle walked with an airline staff member to the gate. Markle wore a black beanie, a long wool coat, a gray sweatshirt, ripped jeans and white sneakers as she boarded the plane. During their pre-holiday week together, they shopped for a Christmas tree and had a date night out at London’s West End to see The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at Gielgud Theatre. On Monday (Dec. 19, 2016), Harry returned to work with Prince William and Kate Middleton to attend a festive charity party that involved a group of volunteers from their Heads Together initiative, the mental health campaign they kickstarted in the spring.

Over the weekend, Markle’s family shared photos of the Suits actress as a child. In one photo, Markle wears an oversized knit sweater and works on her handwriting on the couch and rocks light-wash jeans and ballet flats in another. Tracy Dooley, Markle’s former sister-in-law who took a few of the photos, told the Daily Mail that she “loved playing with the kids” in her family as a kid and would tickle them with her hair, “making them laugh and laugh.”

“She will always have a special place in our hearts,’ added Dooley. ‘She will always be our princess.”
