Justin Bieber Sets Off Firestorm by Wearing Real Fur Coat
Last night (Dec. 19, 2016), Justin Bieber popped by Hyde Sunset Kitchen & Cocktails in West Hollywood (he was attending the Shots Studios family holiday party) sporting a large furry coat and animal rights activists are not happy about it!
Arriving with a bottle in his hand and a maniacal grin, the pop star flaunted his furry coat for onlookers and paparazzi alike. Wondering if it’s real fur? According to Gossip Cop, Bieber confirmed to a photographer on hand that the oversized garment is authentic.
PETA’s President Ingrid Newkirk has since released a statement offering a blistering criticism of the “Sorry” singer’s actions, via Gossip Cop:
“I sometimes think that Justin Bieber needs a brain scan, as I suspect his mirror neurons — the seat of empathy — are underdeveloped or undeveloped, given that he acts like a self-absorbed, childish showoff. He seems incapable of seeing how his buying habits cause needless suffering to animals, such as baby tigers, baby monkeys, and wild coyotes. Animal groups are tired of having to clean up after him, from the abandoned baby monkey in Germany (now rescued) to the abusive zoo in Canada (now closed) to having to run ads explaining the horrible ways in which animals die for fur.”
