Billie Lourd to Care for Carrie Fisher’s Dog
Sources tell TMZ that the Star Wars legend, who passed away Tuesday (Dec. 27, 2016) after suffering a massive heart attack, always wanted her 24-year-old to care for her French Bulldog should something happen. The publication adds that Fisher wanted Gary to be given to another family member if Lourd cannot take care of the pooch for some reason.
Gary, who was adopted by Fisher as a service dog to help with her bipolar disorder, was reportedly by the 60-year-old’s side when she went into a cardiac arrest during a flight from London to Los Angeles. Often inseparable from Fisher, the loyal pet also visited his owner at the UCLA Medical Center before the film icon’s passing this week.
Lourd is already the proud dog mom to another French Bulldog named Tina. It’s said that she wants to make sure the two dogs get along before fully adopting Gary.
