Taylor Swift’s Ex-Boyfriend Conor Kennedy Arrested After Bar Brawl
The 22-year-old, who is the grandson of Robert Kennedy and the ex-boyfriend of Taylor Swift, was taken into police custody on Thursday (Dec. 29, 2016) in Aspen after getting into a physical altercation with another man outside the Bootsy Bellows nightclub.
“At about 1:40 a.m. Aspen PD officers were dispatched to Bootsy Bellows … for a report of a person who was refusing to leave the premises,” Aspen Assistant Chief Bill Linn said in a press release. “While officers were on scene dealing with that situation, they witnessed a fight occurring on the street in front of the bar. Officers tried to separate the two men, who were ‘rolling around on the ground.”
The police report stated that Kennedy — real name John Conor Kennedy — threw “four or five punches to the head” of the other man and struggled with an officer when authorities came in to diffuse the situation. He later apologized to the cops.
“Kennedy was charged with disorderly conduct and was issued a court summons for Feb. 22, 2017, at 9 a.m. He was released without bond,” the press release read.
The fight reportedly started when the other man called one of Kennedy’s friends the f-word. It’s unclear exactly which “f-word” Kennedy was referring to.
