Mariah Carey’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Star Has Been Vandalized
Mariah Carey’s new year just keeps getting worse and worse.
Following her abysmal New Year’s Eve performance, the “Touch My Body” singer’s star on the the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame has been vandalized by a prankster. According to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, someone drew a question mark at the end of Carey’s name — perhaps referencing the elusive chanteuse’s infamous “I don’t know her” line — on her plaque over the weekend.
The star was cleaned Tuesday morning (Jan. 10, 2017) for $1,500, TMZ reports. An investigation for felony vandalism has been launched as authorities are canvasing security footage in the area to identify the culprit.
Just weeks ago, Carey threw shade at Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato, claiming she didn’t know either pop stars despite their popularity.
“I don’t know her either, so I wouldn’t say anything to her,” Carey said of Lovato, who previously criticized the 46-year-old for being “nasty” to Jennifer Lopez. “She should come up, introduce herself to me, say ‘Here’s my opinion, what do you think about it?’ That’s how you handle shit, ok?”
It certainly seems Carey is getting a taste of her own medicine these days.
