Tarek El Moussa Requests Spousal Support from Christina El Moussa in Divorce Petition

Flip or Flop’s Tarek El Moussa is requesting spousal support from his estranged wife, Christina El Moussa.

In a divorce petition that was filed on Monday (Jan. 9, 2017), Entertainment Tonight confirms that Tarek requested for spousal support from Christina and asked that the court’s ability to award alimony to her is terminated. He’s also requesting for Christina to compensate him for his attorney’s fees. On the matter of child custody, Tarek has requested joint legal and physical custody of his and Christina’s two children, Taylor and Brayden.

The Flip or Flop couple announced their separation in December 2016 after seven years of marriage. Months before, in May, police arrived at their home in Orange County to settle a heated incident in response to a “call of a possibly suicidal male with a gun.” Tarek alleged that he never intended to harm himself with his firearm, but only wanted to “blow off some steam.”

“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” they said in a joint statement to ET at the time. “We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”
