Nina Dobrev Confirmed to Return for ‘Vampire Diaries’ Series Finale

Nina Dobrev is officially returning to The Vampire Diaries for its series finale.

The actress, who parted ways with The CW show in 2015 after six season, confirmed her return by sharing a photo of her script on Instagram. She captioned the picture, “I know it’s Thursday, but this is not a TBT. #BackOnSet #TVDForever.”

According to the script shown, the episode Dobrev will appear in is titled “I Was Feeling Epic,” with showrunner Julie Plec as the director. The finale is written by Plec and series co-creator Kevin Williamson.

“I’m thrilled to bring this show to an end the way we always intended — with Nina back to help us say goodbye,” Plec said in a statement.

Williamson added, “I’m so excited to have Nina back to ensure our farewell episode is truly epic!”

The Vampire Diaries series finale will air on March 10 on The CW.
