Bethenny Frankel Awarded Restraining Order Against Ex-Husband Jason Hoppy
A report from TMZ states that the order was issued in conjunction with Hoppy’s arrest on Friday (Jan. 27, 2017) after he confronted Frankel outside of his daughter’s school, allegedly shouting at her, “I will destroy you.”
The tabloid states that the restraining order keeps Hoppy away from Frankel’s home, their daughter Bryn’s school, and Frankel’s place of business. He is only allowed to access these locations if a judge facilitates a custody arrangement. Hoppy is not allowed to directly contact Frankel either.
The six-month restraining order also bans Hoppy from “third-party contact,” which might protect Dennis Shields, Frankel’s current boyfriend, who allegedly was with Frankel when Hoppy was arrested.
As we previously reported, Hoppy sent Frankel numerous emails and FaceTime calls after a cease and desist letter was sent in November. An NYPD spokesperson told Page Six, “On Friday, January 27, the suspect approached her and a friend at her child’s school at around 8:15 a.m. and tried to provoke a fight. He said, ‘I will destroy you, you can get all the lawyers you want, you’ve been warned.’”
