Here’s a Video of Retired Barack Obama and Richard Branson Kitesurfing Together to Distract You from Everything

Barack Obama’s third week of retirement is nothing but blue waters, staged noogie poses, and kitesurfing with Virgin billionaire Richard Branson.

Barack and Michelle are enjoying their deserved vacation time miles away from Washington D.C. in the British Virgin Islands’ Moskito Island at the invitation of Branson. The Virgin mogul wrote about their days together on Moskito Island on his website, explaining the reason behind their decision to spend time learning how to kitesurf and foilboard.

“One of the first stories Barack told me when he and Michelle arrived on Moskito Island was how, just before he became President, he had been surfing on a dangerous break in Hawaii,” Branson said. “When he came in from an exhilarating session, the new head of security team turned to him and said: ‘This will be the last time you surf for eight years.'”

Barack was unable to surf or do watersports during his presidency, so Branson was delighted to introduce him to kitesurfing. They set up a “friendly challenge’ to see if Barack could learn how to kitesurf before Branson learned how to foilboard.
