Kate Upton Poses Topless for Third Career ‘Sports Illustrated’ Swimsuit Issue Cover

Kate Upton did more than just earn her third career Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover — she added three unique covers to her collection all at once.

Upton announced that she is this year’s cover girl on Tuesday’s (Feb. 14, 2017) episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live. While she was first featured in the swimsuit issue of the magazine in 2011, Upton’s first cover was in 2012 and her second was in 2013. Her three 2017 covers feature diverse looks. As seen below, she wears nothing but necklaces and a waist chain in one cover photo, a metallic cover-up in another, and a skimpy one piece in the last.

Upton discusses how this issue is empowering as it presents the beauty in bodies of all different shapes and sizes.

“To have an issue that focuses on that is really an amazing moment for me because I think it’s important for everyone to be the best they can be, but not to strive to be a company or industry’s idea of perfect,” Upton tells Sports Illustrated. “For SI to emphasize every different type of perfect is really inspiring. Those are the campaigns I want to do and the career I want to have — to inspire women to love themselves.”

Inside the issue, veteran supermodel Christie Brinkley poses in this year’s swimsuit issue with her two daughters Alexa Ray Joel, 31 and Sailor Brinkley Cook, 18. Click here to see their gorgeous mother-daughter photos.
