Drake Doesn’t Get Why Kanye West Is Mad at Him
In his latest appearance on OVO Sound radio show on Beats 1’s OVO Sound Radio, the “Hotline Bling” rapper opened up about the apparent fallout with the “Famous” emcee. Though they were said to be working on a collaborative album together, things took a turn when West put him on blast last November for being overplayed and overexposed.
“I think everybody has their own little things going on, I’m not really sure what he’s referring to half the time, because in the same breath, I went from being … like working on a project with him, to him sorta publicly sh*ting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much,” Drizzy said. “Whatever it is that you’re going through, I accept it. I don’t respect it all.”
“I just go and continue working on my own thing,” he continued. “The more and more this progresses, the more and more I feel like keeping to myself.”
Drake also spoke about his longstanding with Meek Mill, explaining he wasn’t happy about beefing with the Philadelphia-born rapper for almost two years.
“It’s not something that I’m proud of because it took just as much of an emotional toll on me — maybe not as much as it did on him … but you always gotta hear about it,” Drake said. “Just seeing people get so riled up on negativity, it didn’t feel great.”
