‘RHONJ’ Regular Kim DePaola’s Car Involved in a Double Homicide
A car belonging to boutique owner Kim DePaola, who frequently appeared on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, was involved in a double homicide in Patterson, NJ, on Friday (Mar. 18, 2017).
According to a report from NBC New York, a pair of gunshots rang out before DePaola’s silver Audi caught fire. The two male victims who were burned inside “were shot in the head execution-style.” The mother of 27-year-old Aaron Anderson, who was in possession of DePaola’s car the day of the fire, arrived at the scene on late Friday afternoon to speak with Police.
“I’ve been calling him and it’s going to voicemail,” she said. “I would have heard from him.”
“We’re concerned,” added Anderson’s father, Thurston Anderson. “We have nothing definite so we wanted to look at the spot. We’re not sure yet. I’m hoping nothing happened.”
Anderson’s mother told reporters that her son drove DePaola’s son, Chris, to the airport on Thursday (Mar. 16). No arrests have been made and dental records are being sought to help identify the victims, whose bodies were burned to an unrecognizable degree.
DePaola shared a post on Instagram thanking her followers for their support during this “very difficult time.
“My son and I are both safe,” she wrote. “Our deepest condolences go out to the victims’ families of this truly horrific tragedy.”
