Report: Emmy Rossum’s West L.A. Home Robbed of $150K in Jewelry
Emmy Rossum is the latest victim of a Hollywood jewel heist.
TMZ reports that Rossum’s West L.A. home was invaded by burglars while she was traveling in New York City last week. Law enforcement sources tell the tabloid that everything was fine when Rossum’s housekeeper showed up on Wednesday (Mar. 22, 2017), but come Friday, the house was a crime scene.
The housekeeper noticed that a glass pane in the back door was smashed and that the power was off. Once she was inside, it was apparent that Rossum’s two safes were open and gutted of all of her valuables. Sources estimate that $150,000 in antique jewelry was missing from the two safes, but nothing else was stolen.
Rossum allegedly left written combinations next to the safes, which is how the burglars broke into them without using force. Law enforcement officers believe that the burglars cut off the power in order to deactivate the alarm system.
