Breaking Hair News: Will Smith Just Cut Off His Son’s Dreadlocks

Willow and Jaden Smith Plan to Retire Before 30
The siblings say adults "don't understand" their thought process.

Jaden Smith may be all grown up, but that doesn’t mean his dad hasn’t stopped giving him haircuts just yet.

Will Smith lived out every parent’s fantasy when he recently got to chop off his teenage son’s long hair for a clean shaven cut. Taking to Facebook, the actor shared photos of himself taking the blade to his 18-year-old blonde dreadlocks. In fact, Will was at peak dad mode as he cracked a joke about Jaden’s ‘do in the captions.

“Getting Jaden Smith ready for the first day of filming #LifeInAYear…maybe I should’ve used scissors?!” the father-of-three wrote alongside picture of him pretending to wear the locs as a ponytail.

Jaden reportedly got his hair buzzed off in preparation for his upcoming role in Life in a Year. Starring opposite Cara Delevingne, he plays a teen sets out to have his terminally ill girlfriend experience “a life” in 365 days after he learns she only has a year to live.

The father-and-son duo were later spotted on set, where Jaden — to his dad’s delight — was seen with much, much shorter hair. Click through the embed below to see the final result!
