Beyoncé can add “Peabody Award-Winner” to her ever-expanding list of professional titles.
The singer was presented with the prestigious award on Thursday (Apr. 20, 2017) for her visual album Lemonade. She was among the seven entertainment winners, including Donald Glover’s Atlanta, that were recognized by the Peabody Awards board of jurors.
The seven selected bodies of work were chosen out of 60 previously announced finalists, which are “meant to represent the most compelling and empowering stories released in electronic media during 2016,” according to Variety.
The Peabody Award winners and finalists will be celebrated at a gala on May 20 in New York, which will be taped for a TV special to air on PBS and Fusion networks on June 2 at 9 p.m. Rashida Jones will serve as the host of the event.
