Tom Daley Marries Dustin Lance Black Two Days After Hospitalization

Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black Show Off Engagement Bling
It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that bling.

Tom Daley isn’t letting a little injury stop him from walking down the aisle with Dustin Lance Black.

Just two days after he shared a photo of himself from a hospital bed, the Olympic diver married his fiancé Saturday (May 6, 2017) in an outdoor ceremony at the Dartmoor National Park in Devon, England.

After the ceremony, Daley, 22, and Black, 42, both shared photos taken by Andy Mac. “6th of May 2017. When all my hopes and dreams of ‘Maybe one day…’ came true. Thanks to all of our family and friends for helping create the best day of our lives,” Black, who won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay in 2008 for Milk, wrote on Instagram.

So… what did you do this weekend?

“On 6th May 2017, I married the love of my life, @dlanceblack ❤️ We shared the day with 120 of our closest friends and family, from Texarkana to Plymouth! Thank you to everyone who made this weekend the most special weekend of our lives!” Daley shared on his account.

Last week, Daley revealed he had been hospitalized for what appeared to be a sports-related injury, saying, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼 #AthleteLife.”

The couple got engaged in October 2015 after two years of dating. In 2016, they secretly went on a seven-month break, during which Daley had cyber sex with another man and the explicit chat was leaked online.

“This will absolutely never happen again now that we’re getting married,” he told The Sun this January. “It’s not like I actually met up with anyone. I’m 22 years old, and if you talk to someone through social media it is what it is. It was nothing more than that. We never physically met. But in the modern world, this is what can happen. Things are more accessible online, and distributed, and they spread like wildfire. People are just exploring and finding out what can be done and how easy it is to not even think about what you’re doing online.”

“We don’t have secrets in our relationship. We’re honest and open about everything. When we were back together I told him everything,” Daley continued. “We’re soulmates — and the only way that we were going to get back to that point was to be honest, open and share everything that happened in our time away from each other.”
