NBA Player J.R. Smith and His Wife Bring Daughter Home After She Was Born Five Months Premature

J.R. Smith and his wife, Jewel Harris, celebrated the long-awaited homecoming of their baby daughter Dakota after she was born five months before her due date.

The Cleveland Cavaliers player shared photos of their departure from Hillcrest Hospital, where Dakota has remained in the NICU ever since she arrived in January, on Tuesday (May 23, 2017).

“We Walked In Together We Walked Out Together!! Thank you so much to our extended family at the #NICU You all are truly the WORLDS GREATEST!” Smith captioned the Instagram photo set below.

Smith and Harris announced Dakota’s untimely arrival in a video on Twitter in January. At five days old, their premature daughter only weighed one pound, but fortunately, as of May 4, 2017, she weighed 6 lbs, 2 oz.
