Justin Bieber got into more than a fender bender last night. He actually hit a person with his car.
The “Sorry” singer was leaving a church service in Beverly Hills Wednesday night when his pickup truck nicked a photographer stationed outside the Saban Theater. In a video shot by another paparazzo, the man fell down to the ground after Bieber’s right side tire hit — or seemingly rolled over — his foot.
According to TMZ, the 23-year-old stayed at the scene for roughly ten minutes until the police and paramedics arrived. During the time, Bieber appeared to be cooperative as he asked other paparazzi to give them some breathing room. He was later picked up by one friend and left without a citation, while another pal drove off with his vehicle.
The photographer was taken to a treatment center with minor, non-life threatening injuries. He recorded a video from his hospital bed, thanking Bieber for being “a good kid” and “compassionate” throughout the ordeal.
“An hour before my birthday hits, I get ran over by Justin Bieber. Isn’t that something?” he mused in the clip. “I think the truck was a little bit too big for him though, ’cause there was no way he could see over the front.”
The paparazzo added, “Accidents happen. Hopefully everything works out here.”
