Kim Kardashian’s Body Dysmorphia Leads Today’s Star Sightings
Believe it or not, Kim Kardashian has body image issues.
Though she’s posed in numerous nude photos and published a book just about her selfies, the 36-year-old admitted to suffering from “body dysmorphia” during the latest episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. After seeing unflattering paparazzi photos of her famous booty taken from her vacation in Mexico, the mom-of-two lamented she simply “can’t have fun after seeing those pictures.”
“It’s literally giving me, like, body dysmorphia. I think people think that I’m so confident, and I’m so secure, and I’m so this, but I’m not. I’m so insecure that I just can’t take it,” she shared.
The KKW Beauty founder explained that constant backlash over her body has given her a “full phobia,” prompting her hide out in her house and almost forcing her to cancel her appearance at the 2017 Met Gala.
“I just am in the house so much that I get so freaked out if anyone like, looks at me,” she said. “I freak out about everything.”
“Why do I subject myself to being seen?” she added. “Why don’t I just stay at home?”
Eventually, with her sisters’ encouraging words, returned in front of the camera after deleting all of the news apps from her phone. “You guys are right, I do need to let this just not bother me and not be a thing,” she told Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian. “I don’t need this negativity in my life.”
