Kim Kardashian Reigniting Her Feud with Taylor Swift Leads Today’s Star Sightings
Are you ready for more bad blood?
Kim Kardashian seemingly rehashed her longstanding feud with Taylor Swift when she shared a photo from Kanye West’s 2016 “Famous” exhibit, which featured a nude look-alike statue of the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer in celebration of the single by the same name.
Though the reality star didn’t necessarily say why she was posting the year-old photo, she did caption the snap, “Famous.”
Needless to say, Swifties quickly determined what seemed to be a harmless throwback was an actual dig against songstress, swiftly — pardon the pun — flooding Kim’s Instagram account with comments about the perceived shady move. Many fans even started leaving rat or mouse emojis, explaining that snakes — a symbol Taylor adopted on her latest album Reputation — eats rats.
“Kim lie to everyone saying Taylor Swift is a snake,” user @manuflv wrote. “And now we revenge, saying she’s a rat.”
As diehard followers know, things between Taylor and the Kardashian-West clan fell apart when Kim leaked a phone call between her husband and the pop star last year. In clips of the call, the “Blank Space” singer appeared to approve of Kanye’s “Famous” lyrics, which referenced Taylor by claiming he “made that b*tch famous.” However, Taylor later asserted that she did not give her blessing to be a called “that b*tch” on the song.
“You don’t get to control someone’s emotional response to being called ‘that b*tch’ in front of the entire world,” she shared on Instagram at the time. “He promised to play the song for me, but he never did. While I wanted to be supportive on the phone call, you cannot ‘approve’ a song you haven’t heard.”
Taylor since hit back with “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things,” a song in which she alludes to a falling out with a frenemy. She sang on the track, “It was so nice being friends again / There I was giving you a second chance / But you stabbed me in the back while shaking my hand.”
The ball’s in your court again, Tay.
