Chrissy Teigen’s Fruit Salad with Coconut-Lime Dressing Recipe Leads Today’s Star Sightings
Chrissy Teigen is busy working on the follow-up to Cravings, but you don’t need to wait months to taste her new creations!
The 32-year-old model has teamed up with Vita Coco to give fans a first look at her forthcoming cookbook, releasing a new recipe take straight from her the highly-anticipated food venture. Using the new Vita Coco Coconutmilk, she’s created a coconut-lime dressing for a healthy and satisfying salad that doubles as a dessert for anyone with a sweet tooth.
As someone who admittedly has horrible acid reflux, Chrissy told Celebuzz! and other reporters over brunch on Wednesday, Jan. 24, that she prefers to use coconut milk in her salad dressing. “I don’t want a salad because it’s a salad. Well, I don’t really want a salad like ever, but I want it because of that creamy dressing,” she confessed.
To kicks things up a notch, Chrissy included toasted coconuts in her dish for an added crunch.
According to the Lip Sync Battle host, who is expecting her second child with husband John Legend, being a mom has definitely changed her palate and inspired her to create healthy-but-flavorful dishes for her new cookbook.
“The first time around, I had many more precise cravings. Now, I love salad things and certain foods more than others,” she shared, adding daughter Luna, 21 months, loves healthy snacks like fruit and organic crackers. “I think, if anything, I make better decisions because I see her. It’s funny because we treat them better than we treat ourselves. She is like the healthiest thing on the planet.”
