50 Cent's Baby Mama's House Burns Down

The New York home of an ex-girlfriend of rapper 50 Cent burned in a blaze that is being described as "suspicious" by firefighters on the scene.

Shaniqua Tomkins and her three children, including Marquise, her 11-year-old son with Fiddy (real name Curtis Jackson), were all treated for smoke inhalation at Huntington Hospital and have since been released.

Six people were in the home when the house went up in flames, including Shaniqua's aunt and cousin.

Tompkins revealed at the hospital on Friday that a crash heard from her upstairs bedroom alerted her to gather her family members and vacate the premises.

Shaniqua also told TMZ that around 4 a.m. she heard "someone" entering her home. The fire reportedly broke out an hour later.

Dix Hills Fire Department Chief Larry Feld told Newsday, "I would say there is a strong—a strong, strong—possibility that it is suspicious."

The timing of the fire could also be construed as suspicious.

Shaniqua and 50 engaged in a public spat on the streets of NYC Monday afternoon, shortly after the two finished off a tumultuous deposition by leaving a lawyer's office in disarray.

Last month, 50 Cent attempted to evict his baby mama unless she agreed to pay $4,500 a month rent. In response, Tompkins filed a lawsuit, citing "breach of contract," claiming the house had been promised to her by the rapper.

From his camp, 50 Cent released a statement about the blaze:

"Curtis Jackson expressed deep concern over this fire at his property. He is extremely thankful that everyone including his son, Marquise, escaped the burning house safely. He is confident that authorities will be conducting a thorough investigation of the incident and is eager to review their findings."

The rapper is currently filming a movie in Louisiana.
